Beans Boats is committed to remaining COVID-secure during these difficult times and have introduced many preventative measures in order to protect our crew, passengers and the wider community.

Please be aware that we may need to make changes that may affect your booking and your experience. Any changes will be communicated to you via the details you have provided. This will only be done in order to fulfil our commitment of keeping everyone safe and in compliance with the law.

Track & Trace

Track & Trace is required by law, your details will be retained in order to fulfil our obligations and to notify you of any changes regarding your booking.


To allow for social distancing we have had to vastly reduce the numbers of passengers on each boat. Therefore, to enable us to continue to operate our trips we have had to slightly increase our ticket prices. We continue to greatly appreciate your support during this difficult time.

Collecting tickets

On collection of your tickets our crew members will direct you in order to ensure compliance with social distancing and to limit the exposure before boarding the boat. PLEASE BE PATIENT DURING THIS PROCESS - the need for hand sanitising and increased information for each party will delay the ticket collection process – THEREFORE WE ASK YOU TO ARRIVE AT LEAST 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR SAILING TIME FOR TICKET COLLECTION. Please queue patiently and allow for social distancing at all times. ABUSE TOWARDS ANY OF OUR CREW MEMBERS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED, IN THESE CIRCUMSTANCES WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO SELL YOU YOUR TICKET AND PREVENT YOU FROM BOARDING THE BOAT.

Queuing for the boat

Although the queuing area is outside, we recommend that face coverings are worn at all times. Once the boat has been sanitised, passengers will be boarded in their family groups to maintain social distancing. Please ensure that all instructions issued by the crew are adhered to during the boarding process.


Each boat is cleaned before and after each use. Face coverings must be worn at all times whilst travelling on the boat. It is recommended that customers who are exempt from wearing face masks carry an exemption card. These are available from the Government website. Capacity in each boat is significantly reduced to allow with compliance of social distancing.


In the event that we have to cancel your booking due to Covid 19 restrictions, we will endeavour to rearrange your booking at a convenient date for yourselves. However, if this is not possible, we will refund your deposit in full. Due to the uncertainty at this time we will not take final payment in advance and request that ALL final balances are paid on the day of your trip. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or card on the quay with one of our crew members.
